You see people criticizing our own country every now and then, it is just like a normal routine and you can’t be bothered about it.
Once you step out of the country, it’s a different feeling altogether. When you leave home, that’s the last thing you wanna do, and that’s the last thing you wanna hear. If it is done to the own people, that is perfectly fine.
However, some people have the guts to put down their own country in front of the own people with foreigners and they have not even been here. That person has the cheeks to say that the own country sucks and tell the foreigners not to go? Seriously, that is something I cannot understand, if one hates the country that much, then just leave the country and I wonder, why is that person in this country now? That is seriously very interesting heh?
Something that it is difficult to understand though, does it feel good or does it feel so almighty by putting the own country’s down? Does it make the person higher and better from the countrymates or rather so-called countrymates? Degrading the own country is degrading that person self, in my very honest opinion.
When you are here, the first thing you wanna do is to leave the country for somewhere else and when you are in a far far away land, you miss home so SO much. Home is always the best and no matter what, you are born, raised and bred here and nothing beats home.
Not everyone agree I know, but … well … cheers

Hmm, that’s weird, i have never heard of anyone putting down their own country while they are abroad….oh what, i have..but they come from war torn countries (which i think its obvious why they would want to complain).. i do agree with you though, that it isnt a very nice thing to do, i personally will not do it, i have much pride being a malaysian despite certain things i may not like (but no country is perfect right?) hugs!
